Toy Poodle, Tiny Toy Poodle and Teacup Poodle
Teacup is a term breeders use to describe very small poodles,
usually weighing 4 pounds or under. and no more than 8 inches tall
American Kennel Club recognize Standard, Miniature, and Toy Poodle sizes only.
Any other size description is strictly breeder terminology.
Teacups UNDER 4 Lbs - no more than 8 inches at the shoulder when full grown.
Tiny Toys average between 4 pounds and 6 pounds when fully grown and stand between 8 to 9 inches.
Toys could range from 6 -9 lbs but not over 10 inches at the shoulder
AKC standard regulations on Poodles....
Standard: Over 15 inches in height at the highest point of the shoulders.
Miniature: Over 10 inches and up to 15 inches at the highest point of the shoulders.
Toy: 10 inches or less at the highest point of the shoulders.
Tea cup & Tiny Toy sizes are not listed as AKC standards, it is a breeders terminology, describing size.
